Keating Outfitters specializes in quality elk hunts at a reasonable cost. We also offer cougar hunts, spring black bear hunts, archery elk hunts, and scenic summer fishing pack trips. Mountain horseback riding is a heady excursion into the Allen Lake Trail Head to a high alpine lake some 8,000 foot in elevation where you can fish and camp. No matter what hunt or trip you choose with Keating Outfitters, you will have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful scenic country in Idaho and all kinds of wildlife such as elk, bear, grouse, mountain goat, and trout.

Keating Outfitters is a family operation, consisting of family members, Earl, Sue, Cody and Dena. We are licensed and bonded by the State of Idaho. We hold a USFS permit to hunt in the Salmon National Forest and have lived and operated in the same area since 1972. Outfitting is our full time business and our only business.

This is an isolated area. The closest airport is located 110 miles north at Missoula, Montana where there are car rentals available for your trip to Gibbonsville, or there is limited access through  Salmon Air Taxi in Salmon, Idaho (208-756-6211 or  800-448-3413) or McCall & wilderness Air (208-756-4713. Car rentals are available in Salmon, Idaho (208-756-4211 or 208-756-2236).
